New Special Edition Ferrari Announced

To celebrate turning 60 here in the states, Ferrari is celebrating the way most car companies do, building special edition cars.

The F60America will be limited to only ten examples, and will be sent to ten lucky owners.  Wealthy owners at that, because each example cost 2.5 million dollars.  According to Ferrari, each and every example is already spoken for.

The car is based off Ferrari's current F12berlinetta, it is also powered by a 6.3 liter V12. The car produces 720hp, 10 less than the F12, and hits 60mph in 3.2 seconds.  Every panel of the body work have been redesigned.  The most distinguishing factor between the two cars, is that the F60 is a convertible, were as the F12 is a coupe. The paint is a direct homage to Ferrari's american racing team's livery.  The throwbacks don't end there, in the cabin the drivers side is in bright red, while the passenger side is in black.  The design for the interior was inspired by Ferrari's classic competition cars.

The car is making its debut this evening, at an anniversary celebration dinner at Beverly Hills City Hall.
